Getting started
Understand your hosting account
Learn how your domain, website hosting, email, and customer portal fit together.
What your account manages
Your domain is the name visitors type. Hosting holds the website's files and applications. DNS connects the name to the right services. Email may be on the hosting server or a separate mail service; moving the website does not automatically move mail.
Sign in to the customer portal. Under Hosting Plans, choose the service for the website you want to manage. Use Domains to review domain orders, Billing for account billing, and Support Tickets when you need help.
Choose the right control panel
A cPanel hosting service provides tools for files, databases, and supported email features. Its service page includes Launch cPanel SSO when access is available. A VerbumCMS service has a different site editor; cPanel instructions do not apply to that editor.
Before making changes
Confirm the service's domain and status. Keep a current backup and record working DNS settings before changing them. Your plan and the server configuration determine which cPanel features are available. If an expected tool is missing, ask support to confirm your entitlement rather than buying or enabling a separate service yourself.
Next steps
Open cPanel, then follow the website launch checklist.
